History

The last three years I've been consulting in user interface design and user interface engineering to a variety of small and medium sized companies.

2000 to 2005

Before that, I spent three years designing the Mirra Personal Server and developed much of the product's web service interfaces in Java. That product lives on as the Maxtor Central Axis services. Before Mirra I managed a software team at ONI Systems.

1991 to 2000

I developed my design skills, however, working at Apple Computer on the Macintosh products. That included developing human interface components for the operating system as well as leading technical decisions for system software releases like Mac OS 8.1 and 7.6.1.

1990 to 1991

Before Apple, I worked with a startup called Exos developing haptic interface devices, ultimately sold to Microsoft and included in the Sidewinder Force Feedback Pro Joystick product.

Misc

I completed a degree in Applied Mathematics from MIT. I also later completed a post-graduate series at Stanford in decision analysis. I have four awarded US Patents.
