this is a beautiful, stop motion typography film from the 5th Typophile Film Festival. no computer graphics i hear:

saw this logo on a walk yesterday, for the portland compressor company: cute and clever use of letter spacing to convey what the business does.
though i have to confess, it took me a couple seconds to get it. at first i thought, “that’s odd” for the compressed type. then i noticed the overlapping LA in portland. then finally i got the reasoning. as an intentionally degenerate use of type it really caught my eye.
